- West Indies - Ibiza I could have my arm twisted and continue to the West Indies for this season. Even thouh Ambra is not 100% ready. It's a approximate 9000 miles trip from Portsmouth to Ibiza. That's like 2 1/2 - 3 months sailing. If we leave in beginning of October we would have lots of time. The crossing from Canaries to WI should take place around 25th Nov - 20th dec. Spend 4 months in the WI and leave for Bermuda after Antigua week in beginning of May. Aprox. 7-10 days to Bermuda, stay there for a week, 15-20 days to Azores, stay there for a week, 10 days to Gibraltar, 10 days to Ibiza. We should be back in Europe - Ibiza around the beginning of June. €500/month per person is what I would like to charge. Plus that we split costs for harbors, food and gas - among everybody- max 4 persons onboard. |

- Barcelona Now we are in July 2007. If life has been fair I’ll be heading to the Med now. Portsmouth to Barcelona is approx. 2000nm. 20 days of sailing. I used to stay with my little Fingal in the Baleares for 4 years. I'm really longing to come back. This time my Spanish is going to be better. The trip will most probably go Falmouth, over the Bay of Biscay to La Coruna, Lisbon, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Marbella, and up to Ibiza. There I/we will stay for a while. And then cont. to Barcelona for the winter. 1 - 1 1/2 month trip. |
